In recognition of hisgreat contribution to, and his untiring efforts in supporting and promoting bothBCGC program and ISZS around the world 

Dr. Zhanghas made a fine contribution in the study of genetics and the evolution ofdomestic animals, and has played a leading role in promoting biodiversityconservation in China. He has been active in supporting ISZS, its officialjournal Integrative Zoology and the ISZS/IUBSinternational scientific program, Biological Consequences of Global Chang(BCGC). He has delivered a number of plenary speeches at the Society’s InternationalSymposium of Integrative Zoology (ISIZ) and has provided advice and guidance tothe BCGC program for many years. Through his work at the Chinese Academy ofSciences, he continues to promote our journal, the BCGC program and ISZS to theworld.
