In recognition of its outstanding contribution to and effort in organizing and promoting the ICZ and ISZS around the world.

The Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences co-organized the XIV ICZ and has generously supported the establishment and operation of the ISZS Secretariat in Beijing, China since 2004. The IOZ has helped to define the ICZ and ISZS as the pre-eminent forum and voice ofzoologists globally and continues to promote the ICZ and ISZS to all nations.
